Australians can enter Singapore faster from October

Eligible holders of Australian passports will be able to enter Singapore in a faster way from this October, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said in a statement on Monday.

Holders of Australian passports aged 6 and above who have visited Singapore at least 3 times in the past 12 months and have no adverse record in Singapore are eligible to enroll for eIACS, which enables users to clear immigration via automated gates on their own.

Australian citizens should bring along their Australian passport, with remaining validity of at least 6 months and one recent color passport-size photograph to the enrollment centers located at Changi Airport, Woodlands Checkpoint, Tuas Checkpoint and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Building to apply for this service, ICA said.

Enrollment is on a voluntary basis and is free of charge. Those aged 6 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and present documentary proof of relationship, ICA explained.

Similar facilities are already available in Australia for eligible Singapore passport holders, ICA stated. Endi
