Spain wins European basketball championship

Spain lifted its third title in the last four European basketball championships after beating Lithuania 80-63 on Sunday.

Pau Gasol finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, one steal and no turnovers to earn the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.

Spain opened with a 13-point lead and met few challenges throughout the match.
