China condemns terrorist attack in NW Pakistan

Xinhua, September 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

China on Sunday condemned the terrorist attack at a camp of Pakistan Air Force near the country's northwestern provincial capital of Peshawar, vowing to support Pakistan's fight against terrorism.

"We condemn the attack which caused severe losses of lives, and we express our condolences to the families of the victims," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei at a press release.

At least 42 people, including 29 security personnel and 13 terrorists of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were killed and 29 other security personnel wounded in the attack on early Friday.

Hong said China supports Pakistan's efforts to crack down on terrorism, and believes the Pakistani government and armed forces are capable to maintain their national security and stability. Endi
