Israeli war jets struck early on Saturday a training facility that belongs to Islamic Hamas armed wing in northern Gaza Strip, according to witnesses and interior security officials.
No injuries or damages were reported following the airstrike, which was reported also by Israeli media. The Israeli airstrike was a response to earlier rockets firing attack from Gaza into southern Israel.
Three rockets were fired on Friday night from northern Gaza into southern Israel, residents and security officials in Gaza said. Two short-range rockets were fired earlier on Friday evening into the southern Israeli town of Sderot.
A Salafist Jihadi group calling itself the Brigade of Sheikh Omer Hadid in Beit el-Maqdes claimed responsibility in a short statement published on social media websites.
Israeli media said that one of the two rockets damaged an Israeli bus in the town, and an Israeli woman was reported lightly injured. Israel vowed a tough response to the rockets attacks from Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli reconnaissance drones hovered over northern Gaza, while several flares were fired into Gaza skies after the rockets attacks, said the security officials in the interior ministry.
Hamas didn't claim responsibility for the rockets attack from northern Gaza into Israel on Friday. However, Israel held Hamas movement, which has been ruling the enclave and controlling it since 2007.
Senior Hamas leader in northern Gaza Fathi Hammad told a Hamas rally held earlier on Friday in northern Gaza in support for al-Aqsa Mosque that Hamas is not committed to any truce deals reached with Israel.
"We are not committed to any calm as long as violations against the Mosque go on," said Hammad, adding "Hamas will liberate al-Aqsa Mosque within three years as well as Be'er Sheva and Ashkelon." Endit
