The Western Yunnan Campaign in the China-India-Myanmar Theatre of War is a significant part of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in Chinese modern history.
The Expeditionary Force sent from Yunnan played an essential defense role in the Pacific War Zone and a key factor to Asian nations' strategic progression from defeat to victory during World War II. Its glory was forged out of the indomitable unity of the Chinese people that expelled intruding armies and the brilliant victory attained by the Alliance between China, the Soviet Union, the United States and Britain.
The historical victory of this Campaign accelerated the demise of Japanese Fascists and provided immense military aid to the allied forces, thus making an enormous contribution to the World Anti-Fascist War.
The exhibition will last to the end of this month. Endit
