Indian stocks closed higher on Friday buoyed by the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision to maintain status quo on policy rate.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 26,218.91, 254.94 points or 0.98 percent up from previous close of 25,963.97, with a turnover of 2,028.96 crore rupees (about 308.6 million U.S. dollars). Endt
