Southwest China's Tibet will hold its second tourism and culture expo at the end of this month.

Officials, experts and representatives of companies from countries like India and Nepal as well as other provinces of China will attend the Second China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo in Lhasa, the regional capital, slated for Sept. 28 to 30.

Forums and exhibitions on Tibet's tourism and culture and the Tibetan medicine industry, investment and trade will be organized during the expo, said Ai Juntao, deputy head of the organizing committee's office.

Tourism is a pillar industry in Tibet, with revenue accounting for over 20 percent of the region's GDP. The region aims to host 17 million tourists in 2015.

Tourism revenue rose 30 percent in the first half of this year, thanks to a 26.7-percent increase in visitors. Endi
