The U.S. Justice Department on Friday dropped charges against a Chinese-born professor who had been accused of sharing sensitive U.S. technology with China, after an "embarrassing" mistake was found about the case's key evidence, media here reported.

LONDON -- The man who entered as a "wild card" the race to lead Britain's main opposition Labour party was Saturday crowned as its new leader at a special conference close to Westminster.

NEW DELHI -- At least 90 people were killed and over 150 others injured when an explosion ripped through a packed restaurant near a bus stop in central Indian Madhya Pradesh state's Jhabua district on Saturday.
Chief medical officer Dr. Arun Sharma told local media that the death toll could still rise while 90 people have been confirmed dead in the explosion and authorities have "performed the autopsy of 82 people." (India-Blast)

SINGAPORE -- Singapore's ruling People's Action Party (PAP) won 83 of the 89 parliamentary seats in general election on Saturday with a landslide victory, while the opposition Workers' Party (WP) retained 6 seats, according to the Elections Department (ELD).
PAP won the election with 69.86 percent of the popular votes, the highest since 2001's landslide victory of 75.3 percent. Singapore's Prime Minister, also PAP's Secretary-General Lee Hsien Loong said this is "a good result for PAP" when he addressed the reporters. (Singapore-Election) Endi
