Xinhua, September 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's Super Falcons are gunning for the gold medal at the ongoing 2015 All Africa Games in Congo.

Striker Desire Oparanozie who has netted five goals already told Xinhua on Thursday that they are determined to prove that they are the African champions.

Nigeria beat Tanzania 3-0 at the Massamba Debat Stadium on Wednesday to qualify for the semi-finals together with Cote d'Ivoire from Group A.

Against Tanzania, Oparanozie scored two goals in each half, while Esther Sunday scored the other goal.

"I just want to score as many goals as possible that will propel us to winning gold," said Oparanozie who has now scored five goals in the women's football competition at the All Africa Games.

Both Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire have six points apiece whereas Tanzania and Congo are without a point after two games.

The defending champions Cameroon who drew 1-1 with South Africa in their opening match also still have a chance to make it to the last four if they defeat Ghana. Group B has three team after the withdrawal of Egypt before the Games started. Endi
