Nikkei ends lower in morning

Tokyo stocks ended 0.05 percent lower in the morning session of Friday as investor reluctant to make bold movers.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 9.94 points, from Thursday to end the morning at 18,289.68. In contrast, the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 2.02 points, or 0.14 percent, to 1,481.54.

Major decliners included oil and coal products and shipping, while real estate and retail issues led gainers. Endi
