4 charged in Australia over 321-km methamphetamine smuggling

Xinhua, September 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

Four foreigners have been arrested and charged over the importation of 321 km of methamphetamine into Australia.

It was the largest haul of methamphetamine in Western Australia 's history, local media reported on Thursday.

"We're very proud to have taken this off the streets but the significant amount of it can only be described as frightening," WA police acting deputy commissioner Michelle Fyfe said.

The suspects, allegedly to be from Hong Kong, have been remanded in custody after appearing in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Endi
