China air force to open to public

Xinhua, September 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

China's air force will hold a series of events and exhibitions for the public starting on Thursday, a spokesperson said Tuesday in northeast China's Changchun City.

Shen Jinke, spokesperson for the People's Liberation Army Air Force, said the activities will be held at the Aviation University of Air Force in Changchun.

The activities will showcase 1,000 fresh pilots who joined the air force this year and encourage honor, Shen added.

The Bayi (August 1) Aerobatics Team will perform, as will parachute teams. The event will also exhibit military equipment, including CJ-6 and J-10 aircraft, Z-9 helicopters and HQ-9 surface-to-air missiles.

Students and teachers will also be able to visit air force pilots at the university. Endi
