Tokyo stocks fall 0.76 pct. in morning

Tokyo stocks fell 0.76 percent in the morning session of Tuesday amid concerns over the country's economic health after the release of GDP data.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 135.11 points, or 0. 76 percent, from Monday to end the morning at 17,725.36. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 6.32 points, or 0.44 percent, to 1,439.33.

Decliners were led by pharmaceuticals, foods and utilities. Endi
