Chinese shares open lower Tuesday

Chinese stocks opened lower Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.84 percent at 3,054.44 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.93 percent lower at 9,898.64 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.94 percent lower at 1,875.67 points. Endi
