LME base metals mostly lower on Monday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mostly lower on Monday with copper moving higher based on Glencore production news.
Copper received a boost when Glencore announced it would suspend 400,000 tonnes per year of production at its Katanga Mining and Mopani copper mines.
In the metals, the three-month unofficial copper price was up 30 U.S. dollars, or 0.59 percent, to 5,151 U.S. dollars per tonne.
In other metals, the three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 9 U.S. dollars, or 0.56 percent, to 1,606.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial lead price lost 16 U.S. dollars, or 0.95 percent, to 1,671 U.S. dollars a tonne.
Meanwhile, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 0.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.03 percent, to 1,783 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial nickel price was up 10 U.S. dollars, or 0.10 percent, to 9,790 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial tin price lost 197.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.31 percent, to 14,877.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
