Job ads rise in Australia: report
Xinhua, September 7, 2015 Adjust font size:
Positive employment data released on Monday showed job ads in Australian newspapers and the Internet rose 1 percent in August.
That was compared to a 0.5 percent fall in July.
The monthly job ads report prepared by the ANZ bank said in the 12 months to August the job ads had risen by 8.7 percent.
But ANZ chief economist Warren Hogan said employment growth is unlikely to pick up in the coming months because of job losses in mining and manufacturing, and a weak investment outlook.
"This is consistent with our expectations for employment growth to moderate in the second half of the year, after a strong first half," he said. Endi
