Venezuela defeats Dominican Republic at FIBA 2015 Americas Championship

Venezuela defeated Dominican Republic 72-68 in the opening match of the second stage at the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) 2015 Americas Championship here in Mexico City on Sunday.

With a great performance of Nestor Colmenares, who scored 19 points and six rebounds, Venezuela claimed its third victory in the tournament.

Colmenares was greatly supported by Windi Graterol, who scored 11 points and four rebounds, as well as John Cox who scored 10 points.

On the other hand, Dominican Edgar Sosa scored 21 points and two rebounds, followed by James Feldine with 13 points and Vargas with 11.

By the victory, Venezuela collected eight points while Dominican Republic had seven points. Endi
