3 cops injured in crude bomb explosion in eastern India

Xinhua, September 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least three cops were injured in a crude bomb explosion inside a police station in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal on Sunday, a senior police official said.

"The incident happened when one of the several crude bombs seized by the cops from local goons and kept in the store room of Itahar police station in the state's North Dinajpur district suddenly exploded," he said, on condition of anonymity.

Three policemen sustained splinter injuries in the explosion and have been admitted to a government hospital, the official said, adding other bombs kept in the police station have been defused.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, he said. Endi
