Xinhua, September 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two Afghan civilians, including a woman, had been killed as clashes erupted in Garbiz district of the eastern Khost province on Saturday, a local official said Sunday.

"Two civilians including a woman were killed as clashes flared up between security forces and militants in Garbiz district yesterday," district governor Mohammad Akbar Zadran told reporters.

To protest the killing of civilians allegedly by security forces, the residents of Garbiz district staged a peaceful demonstration on Sunday, calling on government to punish those behind the murder.

Meantime, district governor Zadran promised to launch an investigation into the case and bring to justice anyone found guilty in murdering civilians. Endi
