German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban agreed in a telephone conversation on Saturday that the permitted onward journey of refugees from Hungary to Austria and Germany on Saturday was an exception.

STRASBOURG -- A demonstration in solidarity with refugees brought about 300 people to gather in the center of historic Strasbourg on Saturday in order to demand that France and the Region of Alsace change their policies and accept more refugees fleeing instability and violence in their home countries.

RIYADH -- Ten Saudi soldiers were killed in a Houthi missile strike at a military base in the eastern province of Maarib in Yemen, Al Arabiya local TV channel reported on Saturday.

ABU DHABI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) said on Saturday the Gulf Arab state would continue to fight in Yemen until victory is achieved, state news agency WAM reported.
"The UAE will remain committed to the Arab Coalition alongside Saudi Arabia to defend Yemen and the region until security, stability and peace are restored to sisterly Yemen," the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander Sheikh Mohamed told Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, one day after the deadliest incident for the Arab coalition in Yemen. ANKARA -- At least two people were killed on Saturday in separate attacks by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in Turkey's eastern provinces, security officials told state-run Anadolu Agency.
