Chinese woman arrested for terrorist attack rumor

A woman in central China's Hunan Province was arrested for fabricating a rumor regarding a terrorist attack on the province, local police said on Friday.

She was ordered to stay in detention for three days.

The police said she fabricated the rumor after hearing some conversations about terrorist attacks.

The woman spread the rumor on messaging app WeChat, according to Hunan police.

Hunan police have continued a crackdown as the number of online rumors is surging. Endit
