Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has offered his condolences to Dominica over a disastrous tropical storm.

In a message dated Wednesday to his counterpart in Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, Li said that he was astonished by the heavy casualties and losses Erika has brought to Dominica.

Li mourned the dead and extended condolences to their relatives as well as to the injured.

He expressed the belief that under the leadership of Skerrit, people will overcome the difficulties and rebuild their homes at an early date.

Erika killed at least 31 people, with 20 more missing, and caused flooding and landslides on the Caribbean island nation, local media reported. Endi
