LME copper hits three-week high on Thursday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) moved higher on Thursday.

Copper skipped above 5,200 U.S. dollars a tonne, hitting its highest for three weeks. The three-month unofficial copper price rose 150 U.S. dollars, or 2.94 percent, to 5,252.5 U.S. dollars per tonne.

In other metals, the three-month unofficial aluminium price was up 35.5 U.S. dollars, or 2.22 percent, to 1,637 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial lead price was up 1 U.S. dollars, or 0.06 percent, to 1,730 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Meanwhile, the three-month unofficial zinc price rose 16 U.S. dollars, or 0.88 percent, to 1,830 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial nickel price rose 75 U.S. dollars, or 0.76 percent, to 9,987.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price rose 250 U.S. dollars, or 1.66 percent, to 15,325 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
