Germany's benchmark DAX index closes down

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Tuesday lost over 200 points and closed at 10,015.57 points.

More and more uncertainties turned out and weighed on the confidence of investors, according to local analysts. The blue-chip index lost 243.89 points, or 2.38 percent.

All the 30 DAX member shares suffered losses. ThyssenKrupp AG fell by 3.36 percent. Bayer AG slipped by 3.22 percent. Infineon Technologies AG, a semiconductor producer, plunged by 3.13 percent. Volkswagen AG Vz slid by 3.04 percent and HeidelbergCement AG went down by 2.73 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.94 billion euros (around 4.42 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 342.27 million euros (around 383.96 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
