LME base metals mixed on Tuesday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mixed on Tuesday.

Tuesday has seen quite low volumes being traded, but some traders said the market was showing some signs of stability.

Copper was pressured by soft Chinese manufacturing sector data. The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 88.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.71 percent, to 5,092.5 dollars per tonne.

In other metals, the three-month unofficial aluminium price rose 6 dollars, or 0.37 percent, to 1,611 dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial lead price was up 9.5 dollars, or 0.55 percent, to 1,736.5 dollars a tonne.

Meanwhile, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 14 dollars, or 0.77 percent, to 1,809 dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 350 dollars, or 3.44 percent, to 9,837.5 dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial tin price was up 400 dollars, or 2.81 percent, to 14,650 dollars a tonne. Endit
