China beat Bahrain 3-0 here on Sunday in a warmup for the AFC U-23 Championships.

Xie Pengfei broke the deadlock with a header in the 20th minute, and Liao Lisheng from Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande scored twice in the 67th and 82nd..

The AFC U-23 Championships will be held in 2016 in Qatar where the top three finishers qualify for the Rio Olympics.

The second warmup between China and Bahrain will be held in Shenyang, China on Sept. 4. Endit
