China's Hushen 300 index futures surged on Friday, with the contract for September, the most actively traded, up 7.51 percent to close at 3,188.4 points.
The October contract gained 6.74 percent to close at 3,102.6 and the December contract advanced 7.31 percent to 3034. The March 2016 contract added 7.48 percent to 3,017.

TOKYO -- Tokyo shares ended the trading Friday sharply higher with its benchmark Nikkei stocks index recovering 19,000 threshold as sentiment here was boosted by positive U.S. economic data and gains on overnight global markets.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average soared 561.88 points, or 3. 03 percent, from Thursday at 19,136.32.

SYDNEY -- From goodbye to good buy, the Australian market had its fourth straight session of gains to close higher on Friday following a four percent slide to begin the week.
At the close on Friday, S&P/ASX200 index was 30.3 points, or 0. 58 per cent, higher at 5,263.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 32.1 points, or 0.61 per cent, at 5,274.7.
TAIPEI -- Taiwan's share prices closed higher Friday with the weighted index up 194.63 points, or 2.48 percent, to close at 8, 019.18, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 103.83 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.21 billion U.S. dollars).

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks dropped 226.15 points, or 1.04 percent, to close on Friday at 21,612.39 points.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 21,585.33 and 22, 424.40. Turnover totaled 112.88 billion HK dollars (14.57 billion U.S. dollars).

HO CHI MINH CITY -- VN-Index, the stock market index of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City bourse in southern Vietnam,closed at 570.87 points on Friday, up 15.06 points, or 2.71 percent, against the previous trading day's closing session.
About 165.727 million shares worth 2.826 trillion Vietnamese dong (VND) (129.14 million U.S. dollars) changed hands at the southern HCM City Stock Exchange. Prices of 138 stocks went up, 83 stocks fell down, while 63 stocks remained unchanged.

HANOI -- Stock market index of Vietnam's capital Hanoi, HNX- Index, closed at 78.27 points on Friday, up 1.25 points, or 1.62 percent, against the previous trading session.
A total of some 49.699 million shares worth around 555.690 billion Vietnamese dong (some 25.49 million U.S. dollars) were traded at the Hanoi Stock Exchange on Friday, a decrease of 21.57 percent in volume and 1.47 percent in value against the previous trading session.
