BiH university receives 10 mln dollars from Saudi gov't for research

Sarajevo School of Science and Technology said on Thursday it received a grant of 10 million U.S. dollars from the government of Saudi Arabia.

The money will be used mainly for scientific and research work in area of medical sciences and information system, it said.

Saudi Arabia and the university will soon sign a cooperation protocol to regulate details on how to use the grant, local media reported.

The university said it will use the grant to purchase new equipment, hire more top experts and secure more scholarships from different areas for excellent students.

Saudi Arabia is one of the major donors for BiH in fields of culture and education. Endit
