Mongolian PM urged to quicken gov't formation

Mongolian Parliament Speaker Zandaakhuu Enkhbold on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Chimed Saikhanbileg to complete the formation of government by Sept. 6.

Enkhbold told Saikhanbileg in an official letter to speed up the process for the nomination of six ministerial candidates.

The ruling Democratic Party (DP) and its ally "Justice" coalition composed of minor parties earlier failed to agree on potential candidates for six ministerial positions.

In early July, the DP terminated its cooperation agreement with the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) and the parliament dismissed a deputy prime minister and five ministers from the MPP. Endi
