Dollar trades in upper 118 yen range after drop to 7-month low

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 118 yen range early Tuesday morning in Tokyo following a plunge to as low as 116.15 yen in New York overnight, the lowest level in seven-month.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 118.87-93 yen compared with 118.36-46 yen in New York and 120.40-41 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.

The euro fetched 1.1582-1583 dollars and 137.65-67 yen against 1.1615-1625 dollars and 137.41-51 yen in New York and 1.1483-1485 dollars and 138.26-30 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon. Endi
