French stock market index down 5.35 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 dropped by 5.35 percent to close at 4,383.46 points on Monday, down 247.53 points.

With the negative performance of Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index, price dropping of the petroleum and the going strong of euros against dollars, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Monday with all of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Monday were ArcelorMittal, down 9.48 percent, Kering, down 8.22 percent, and Total, down 7.90 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 3.19 percent to close at 4,630.99 points, down 152.56 points. Endit
