Xinhua, August 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Irish international Darron Gibson from English Premier League Everton was charged on Wednesday by British police over a drunken hit-and-run crash with a cyclist.

"This is in relation to an incident on Sunday August 16 where police were called to reports that a car had collided with a cyclist on Park Road, Trafford, and failed to stop before pulling into a petrol station on nearby Dunham Road and colliding with a pump." said a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police.

The 27-year-old Gibson, who played for Manchester United from 2005-2012, was charged with drunk driving and not stopping after a traffic accident. Endi
