Boxers from Venezuela and Colombia became winners on Tuesday in the second day of WBA (World Boxing Association) Continental Championship held in Venezuela's state of Vargas (center-north), local media reported.

Venezuelan Jose Diaz (56 kg) defeated by split decision American Francisco Martinez, bronze-medal winner in Toronto 2015 Pan-American Games.

Earlier Colombian Yuberjein Martinez beat Ecuadorian Carlos Quipo 3-0 in the 49 kg category.

The competition will grant 50 tickets, five for each division, for Doha World Cup, to be held next October.

On Tuesday afternoon, Venezuelans Endry Saavedra (75 kg) and Luis Arcon (64 kg), both bronze-medal winners in Toronto 2015, will face Chilean Joseph Cherkashyn and Ariel Outram from Trinidad and Tobago, respectively. Endi
