The remarks were made at a celebration held in Hanoi marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam People's Public Security.

The celebration drew participation of Vietnamese leaders as well as foreign guests from China, Russia, Cuba, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand and other regional and international police organizations. "There must be determination and tough measures to overcome limitations and weaknesses, actively prevent and fight against negative impacts and sabotages from outside forces,"Sang said.

The president emphasized that in any situation, the country's security force must ensure the top goal of protecting independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, protecting the party, state, people and the socialist regime, and keeping a peaceful environment and political stability for the construction and development of a country with socialist orientation, according to Vietnam's state-run news agency.
