Former university official arrested for allegedly taking bribe

The former vice president of a local university in east China's Shandong Province was arrested for allegedly taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Tuesday.

Sun Lanyu, former vice president of Liaocheng University, was arrested by the Shandong provincial procuratorate days ago, the SPP said in a press release.

The SPP also announced that Wang Zhiwei, former party chief of Julu county in north China's Hebei Province, was arrested for allegedly paying bribes. Enditem
