Xinhua, August 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

The deadly skirmishes between India and Pakistan continued on Monday unabated on the Line of Control (LoC) in the restive Kashmir region, officials said.

The two sides targeted each other's positions using mortars and heavy machine gun fire.

Officials said no casualty or damage was reported on the Indian side in the fresh exchange.

Heavy shelling and firing have been continuing since Saturday, triggering panic among the residents in the affected areas, locals told Xinhua.

Media reports said both sides have seen civilian causalities in the stand-off. Endi
