Mexicans Roman, Serrano win gold in World Cup

Mexican archers Aida Roman and Juan Rene Serrano won gold medal in mixed teams of recurve bow category during the third stage of 2015 Archery World Cup held in Wroclaw, Poland, local media reported Sunday.

Roman and Serrano defeated Deepika Kumari and Mangal Champia, the couple from India, with a score of 5-1 in three sets.

In the first set, Mexico and Indie reached a 36 tie, but the Mexicans won the next two with score of 37-35 and 37-36, respectively, to achieve victory.

Meanwhile, the bronze medal was for Belarus.

This is the second medal for Mexico in 2015 Archery World Cup. Before, Linda Ochoa won bronze medal in single compound bow.

Aida Roman won silver medal in the single category at London 2012. Endi
