Chinese President appoints new ambassadors

Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed seven new ambassadors, upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature on Thursday.

Su Jian was appointed ambassador to Mozambique, replacing Li Chunhua.

Zhang Yinghong was appointed ambassador to Moldova, replacing Tong Mingtao.

Hong Liang was appointed ambassador to Myanmar, replacing Yang Houlan.

Liu Hongyang was appointed ambassador to Timor-Leste, replacing Tian Guangfeng. p Huang Yong was appointed ambassador to Latvia, replacing Yang Guoqiang.

Cai Run was appointed ambassador to Portugal, replacing Huang Songfu.
