Chinese students visit Albania to enhance friendship

An artistic group of 20 high school students from China with their teachers arrived in Tirana to take part in a Chinese-Albanian youth exchange activity organized by the embassy of China in Albania on Wednesday.

They communicate through art with students from four Albanian high schools. The event was attended by Chinese ambassador to Albania Jiang Yu, Albanian deputy minister of education and sport Nora Malaj, members of Chinese-Albanian cultural association, representatives of Chinese companies in Albania.

Greeting the participants, ambassador Jiang said the relations between China and Albania are developing well, the mutual political trust has deepened cooperation in the fields of economic and trade, education and culture.

She said youth is the future of a country; the younger generation will take the friendship torch from the previous generation. Now, both countries should make joint efforts to encourage cultural exchanges in order to make the relations and traditional friendship between China and Albania more vital.

Ambassador Jiang said she wanted to cooperate with Albania in order to promote knowledge and friendship between the people through such activities.

Taking the floor at the activity, deputy director of the Chinese high school Du Yuzhen expressed her gratitude for being invited to the event together with her students and wished the participants to enjoy the beauty of the Chinese culture.

The high school, which affiliated to the University of Tsinghua, is a well-known Chinese school having a wide historical background.

Meanwhile, Malaj said that the activity is an evidence of a long journey of cooperation between histories of the two countries which shows the intensification of the bilateral cooperation.

The Chinese and Albanian high school students performed for the public traditional dance and folk music.

After the activity in Tirana, the Chinese students will also attend similar activities in the northern city of Shkodra. They will also visit the town of Kruja and the cities of Durres, Vlora, Berat and other areas of Albania. Endit
