7 security personnel killed in separate incidents in Pakistan

At least seven security personnel including an officer were killed on Wednesday in two separate incidents of terrorism in different areas of Pakistan, local media reported.
According to the reports, at least three security personnel were killed on Wednesday evening in a bomb blast near a vehicle of the security forces in the Sandana area of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency, the country's northwestern tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The bomb that was planted on the roadside exploded when security personnel were patrolling in the area.
The vehicle was destroyed completely in the blast and all the three personnel present in the mobile including a captain of Pakistan Army were killed on spot.
The bomb was planted on the roadside and it was detonated with a remote-controlled device.
In another incident, at least four policemen were shot dead in the country's southern port city of Karachi.
The incident took place when four unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate firing at the policemen when they were having their lunch at a restaurant in the Korangi area of the city.
Police said four gunmen riding on two motorbikes attacked the policemen with sophisticated weapons and managed to flee from the scene after the attack.
The attackers also took away the weapons of the slain policemen.
No group has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks yet. Endi
