Chinese vice premier meets U.S. congressmen

Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong on Wednesday met with a delegation from the U.S. congressional black caucus (CBC) led by chairman George Butterfield.

Liu spoke highly of the seventh China-U.S. strategic and economic dialogue and the sixth China-U.S. high-level consultation on people-to-people exchange in this June.

She said the two countries should continue to strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchanges to provide better support for the new model of major-country relations.

Butterfield said the CBC will continue to support cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries to contribute to the development of bilateral relations. Endit
