Pedro prepares his goodbyes after decisive Supercup goal

FC Barcelona striker Pedro Rodriguez was the hero of the night as Barca won a thrilling European Supercup final 5-4 against Sevilla on Tuesday.

The striker, who is strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, came off the bench to score the winning goal after Sevilla had fought their way back into the game from 4-1 down to tie the score 4-4 and take the game into extra time.

It was a poignant moment for the former Barca youth team player and the sixth time he has scored in a major final, but speaking after the game, which was played in the Georgian capital of Tiblisi, Pedro admitted he wanted to leave.

"It is not a question of money, but of minutes," he said. "I am ambitious and I always want the best. We will see what happens, but if I stay or leave, I will always support Barca," he said.

Pedro' s situation has been difficult as he is fourth in the pecking order of strikers behind Neymar, Leo Messi and Luis Suarez and on Tuesday with Neymar out with mumps, Barca coach Luis Enrique preferred Rafinha in his position.

"I was surprised to not start in this game, but Luis Enrique has decided to give confidence to other players. I respect his decisions and have to remain 100 percent calm," continued the forward.

"There are a lot of pros and cons in my situation... but I am calm and happy we have won another title for the club. I have always given everything for this club and I hope I will be able to continue doing so," said Pedro.

"I don' t know whether or not it will be my last game. I just want to enjoy the title and I am happy to have scored a goal. I am grateful for all of the experiences I have had at the club and for the fans," he concluded.

Barca' s next game is the first leg of the Spanish Supercup away to Athletic Club Bilbao on Friday night. Endi
