1st LD: Indonesian president reshuffles cabinet

Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Wednesday reshuffled his cabinet as the Southeast Asia's largest economy aims to speed up subdued economic growth.

Three coordinated ministerial posts, two ministerial posts and cabinet secretary post were reshuffled.

President Jokowi, the popular name of the president, picked up Luhut Binsar Panjaitan as coordinating minister for Politics, Law and Security, replacing Tedjo Edhy Purdjiatno; Darmin Nasution as economic chief minister, replacing Sofyan Djalil; Rizal Ramli as coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs, replacing Indroyono Soesilo.

The president appointed Thomas Trikasih Lembong as trade minister, replacing Rahmat Gobel, and Sofyan Djalil as chief of Development Planning Agency.

Pramono Anung was picked up as new cabinet secretary, replacing Andi Widjajanto. Endi
