Greek government sealed on Tuesday the country's third bailout deal within five years with international lenders, it was announced in Athens.

The much awaited 85-billion-euro worth cash for reforms agreement which came after innumerous rounds of negotiations since the Leftist government of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras took over in late January this year, was presented as the only way forward so that Greece overcomes the debt crisis. KABUL -- Afghan militancy and counter-militancy have claimed 12 lives and injured more than two dozen others in the northern Baghlan and eastern Kunar provinces on Tuesday, police said.

The hard-liner militant outfit attempting to regain power and re-establish its brutal rule on the war-ravaged country, launched a coordinated attack on security checkpoints in Dand-e-Ghori district of the northern Baghlan province with Pul-e-Khumri as its capital 250 km north of Kabul on Tuesday, provincial police chief Abdul Jabbar Purduli said. FERGUSON, United States -- Protests marking the one-year anniversary of the shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown were extended for a second day on Tuesday in Ferguson.` Protesters have thrown rocks and empty water bottles at police since Monday night till early Tuesday morning, while police used pepper spray to force back crowds, according to Xinhua reporters at the scene.

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- The military forces of India and Pakistan Tuesday exchanged fire on Line of Control (LoC) in restive Kashmir, thereby violating their cease-fire agreement, officials said.

Troopers on the two sides targeted each other's positions in frontier Rajouri and Poonch districts, south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir. (India-Pakistan-Firing)

ANKARA -- Seven rebels of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) were killed in a military operation in Agri province in eastern Turkey, an official statement said on Tuesday.
