CSL side Guangzhou Evergrande confirm Hao Wei's move

Xinhua, August 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese Super League defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande confirmed the joining of Hao Wei, the former head coach of Chinese women's soccer team here on Tuesday.

After leading China into the last 8 of World Cup in Canada, Hao had been linked with a move to the winner of AFC Champions League in 2013. After the last match in the Women's East Asian Cup, Hao confirmed his leaving and explained that his resignation was due to his poor ability.

It is reported that Hao hoped to join a male professional club for further study under a world-class coach, and the Chinese Football Association recommended him to Evergrande.

Hao became head coach of the Chinese women's soccer team in 2012, steering it to the third place of 2014 Women's Asian Cup and the quarterfinals of 2015 Women's World Cup. Endi
