Tremor felt in Indian capital as quake hits Afghanistan

Tremors were felt in the Indian capital here Monday afternoon as a 6.2-magnitude earthquake rocked Afghanistan.

The India Meteorological Department said the earthquake, with a depth of 210 km and its epicenter in Hindukush region, occurred at 15:35 p.m. India time (1005 GMT).

The temblor was also felt in Indian-controlled Kashmir and northern Indian states like Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, said officials. Endi
