Afghan National Army (ANA) had waged operations in different provinces, killing 43 militants within the past 24 hours, the country's Defense Ministry said on Monday morning.

"About 43 terrorists were killed, 41 wounded and two terrorists were detained as a result of ANA cleanup operations over the last 24 hours," the ministry said in a statement providing daily operational updates.

The army's operations had also led to seizure of weapons and ammunition, the statement said, adding that four ANA personnel were also killed within the period.

The Taliban militant group, which has intensified attacks over the past couple of months, has yet to make comments. Endi
