Berlin striker Sandro Wagner joined Bundesliga newcomers Darmstadt, the "Lilien" confirmed via the club's official homepage on Saturday.

Darmstadt bolster their offence with the signing of striker Wagner, who has put pen to paper on a two-year deal that keeps him with the Bundesliga newcomers until June 2017.

"We are very happy that Sandro opted for our team. He is exactly the kind of striker we were looking for," Darmstadt's head coach Dirk Schuster said.

The 27-year-old new arrival played since 2012 for Berlin. He made overall 71 Bundesliga appearances to provide two assists and seven goals ever since.

"I am looking forward the challenge here in Darmstadt. I have heard already many good things about the team, now I'm proud to be part of it," Wagner said.

The Bundesliga newcomers encounter Hannover at the first round of Bundesliga on August 15. Endi
