Suspect says he was in Mexico City apartment with killings of five people

Mexico City's attorney general Rodolfo Rios Garza announced Thursday that a man, who was detained in relation to killings of five people including photojournalist Ruben Espinosa one day earlier, admitted that he was in the apartment where Espinosa and four other women were found dead Saturday.
The suspect, whose identity was not disclosed immediately, was one of the three men whom surveillance cameras recorded leaving the apartment building, said Garza.
The apartment is situated in the district of Narvarte, Mexico City of Mexico.
Ruben Espinosa, a well-known the photojournalist, had complained of having received various death threats while working in the state of Veracruz. He was found being shot with two bullets to the head, and the body showed signs of torture and sexual assault.
According to Garza, a fingerprint found in the apartment matched that of the suspect in custody, who had previously completed a prison sentence of nine and a half years.
Police are still hunting down two other accomplices.
Also, Mexico City Mayor Miguel Mancera on Thursday ordered a thorough investigation into the case and leaving no stone unturned in order to find the perpetrators of the massacre and bring them to justice, while urging to impose stricter penalties on those found carrying firearms in the streets of the national capital.
