Angel Di Maria is believed to be unveiled as a Paris Saint-Germain new signing on Thursday as the club invited media less than 24 hours ahead of the press conference at a confidential spot.
"Paris Saint-Germain organizes a press conference on Thursday at 18:30 ... For security reasons, we ask media to not communicate the place of the press conference," read an email reaching out Wednesday evening.
The 27-year-old Argentine winger underwent a medical Tuesday in Aspetar, a specialist sports hospital in Qatar's capital city Doha, accompanied by PSG officials.
Di Maria, who was the man of the match in the 2014 Champions League final when Real beat Atletico Madrid 4-1, said on Tuesday that he's happy to join PSG and wanted to enable the French champions' progress further in Europe.
"They reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League, so my objective is to arrive in Paris and help them through the quarter-final barrier, which they have struggled to do in the past two seasons," he said.
"I will try to do the best I can to help the club reach those objectives and pass the barrier of the quarterfinals of the Champions League."
According to earlier reports, Di Maria was given permission to fly to Qatar for medical after Manchester United agreed a 63 million euros (about 69.08 million U.S. dollars) fee with the French champions.
The Argentine international joined Manchester United from La Liga's Real Madrid for a British record 59.7 million pounds (about 93.28 million U.S. dollars) a year ago, but failed to win a regular starting position at Old Trafford under coach Louis van Gaal.
Di Maria only started one of the final 10 games of last season after having only scored four goals in 32 games of all competitions for United, and netted the last of his three league goals in October.
The Argentine failed to show for United's pre-season tour of the United States last month and was fined 360,000 pounds by the club. Endi
